• Spiritual Ignorance
  Acts 3:17 – “But now, brethren, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did also your rulers.”
  1 Corinthians 2:8 – “None of the rulers of this age understood this; for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.”
  John 8:32 – “And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
• Worldly Behavior
  Philippians 3:18-19 – “For many, of whom I have told you often and now tell you even weeping, are the enemies of the cross of Christ.”
  James 4:4 – “You adulterous people, do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God?”
  Colossians 3:1-3 – “If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above… For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.”
• Worldly Wisdom
  1 Corinthians 1:17-18 – “For Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel, not with eloquent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.”
  1 Corinthians 3:19 – “For the wisdom of this world is folly with God.”
  James 3:15 – “This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic.”
• Love of the World
  1 Timothy 4:10 – “For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe.”
  1 John 2:15-17 – “Do not love the world or the things in the world… The world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.”

• Hypocrisy & Pretense
  2 Timothy 3:5 – “Having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power.”
