In the New Testament, the appeal is to forget ourselves in service to others.

Reward is not brought about by what we get, but rather by what we can give.

• Christ demonstrated this by the cross.
• Christ went to the cross and gave Himself for us. What He did, He did for us.
• Death is not the end. The cross is not a symbol but a means to a greater life.
• Never live as if Christ had never died; Never die as if Christ had never lived!
