In Pursuit:

  • A Follower of Christ
  • 1 Peter 2:21 – “For to this you have been called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, so that you might follow in his steps.”
  • A Learner
  • Continually growing in knowledge and understanding of Christ and His teachings.
  • A Believer
  • Placing faith and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.
  • A Saint
  • Set apart for God’s purposes and holy living.

In Knowledge:

  • Acts 11:26 – “And in Antioch the disciples were first called Christians.”

In Faith:

  • 1 Timothy 4:12 – “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”

In Character:

  • Living in a manner that reflects Christ’s character and values.

In Relationship:

  • A Branch of the Vine
  • John 15:1-6 – Abiding in Christ for spiritual nourishment and fruitfulness.
  • A New Creature
  • Transformed by the power of Christ into a new creation.
  • Light
  • Matthew 5:14-16 – Bringing light and truth into the world.
  • Leaven
  • Matthew 13:33 – Influencing and transforming society for good.
  • Sower
  • Sharing the gospel and planting seeds of faith.
  • Soldier
  • Engaged in spiritual warfare and standing firm in faith.
  • Watchman
  • Alert and vigilant in prayer and spiritual discernment.

In Transformation:

  • 2 Corinthians 5:17 – “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”

In Illumination:

  • Bringing God’s truth and wisdom to others.

In Influence:

  • Matthew 5:14-16 – Being a light that shines in darkness, impacting others positively.

In Labor:

  • Engaging in the work of spreading the gospel and building God’s kingdom.

In Combat:

  • 2 Timothy 2:3 – Enduring hardships and challenges for the sake of Christ.

In Alertness:

  • 2 Timothy 4:5 – Being watchful and ready to fulfill God’s calling.

Being a Christian involves a multifaceted commitment to follow, learn, believe, and live out the teachings and example of Jesus Christ in every aspect of life.
