Matthew 27:22
“What then shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ?”
Here is what some have done with Jesus:
- The Shepherds Gladly Received Word of Him
- Luke 2:1-16
The shepherds joyfully received the news of His birth and spread the word of Him. - The Wise Men Worshipped Him
- Matthew 2:1-2
The wise men traveled from afar to worship Jesus, offering gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. - Herod Tried to Kill Him
- Matthew 2
Herod sought to kill Jesus out of fear for his throne, attempting to have Him destroyed. - Some Tried to Trap Him in His Speech
- Matthew 22:23-30
Religious leaders attempted to trap Jesus with questions to discredit Him, but He responded with wisdom. - His Own Did Not Receive Him
- John 1:11
Despite His coming to His own people, they did not accept or recognize Him. - Judas Betrayed Him
- Matthew 26:14-16
Judas, one of His disciples, betrayed Him for thirty pieces of silver.
The Question for Us:
- What do you do with Jesus?
- What will Jesus do with you?
These questions challenge us to reflect on our response to Jesus—whether we receive, worship, reject, or betray Him—and the eternal implications of our choices.
