THE SOIL

  • The SOWER represents teachers.
  • The SEED represents the Word of God.
  • The SOIL represents the human heart or soul. The success of the sowing depends greatly on the soil into which the seed is sown.

Luke 8:11-12: “The seed is the word of God. Those by the wayside are the ones who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.”

The Soil May Be:

  • The soil must be prepared for the seed to grow.
  • The soil needs to be turned and pulverized.
  • The soil may be as bad as any you have ever seen.
  • The soil may be worse than any you’ve ever encountered.
  • The soil may be the very worst you’ve seen.
  • The soil may be as good as any you’ve encountered.
  • The soil may be better than any you’ve ever seen.
  • The soil may be the very best you have ever encountered.
