1. The Christian Life is a CHANGED LIFE
   • “Ye turned to God from idols” (1 Thessalonians 1:9)
     The Christian life is characterized by transformation. Believers turn away from idolatry and sin, embracing God as the true and living source of hope and purpose. This change signifies a profound spiritual shift, where old ways are left behind in pursuit of God’s calling.
2. The Christian Life is a SERVING LIFE
   • “To serve the living and true God” (1 Thessalonians 1:9)
     The Christian life is one of active service. Believers are called to serve God by living out their faith, spreading His love, and contributing to the advancement of His kingdom on earth. This service is not just in words, but in actions that reflect the truth and power of the gospel.
3. The Christian Life is a WAITING LIFE
   • “To wait for his Son from heaven” (1 Thessalonians 1:10)
     Christians live with an eager expectation of Christ’s return. This waiting is not passive but is marked by active preparation, living in a way that honors God while anticipating the glorious return of Jesus. The Christian’s hope is centered on the promise of salvation and eternal life.

Acts 11:26 – “…And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.”
This passage highlights the identity of followers of Christ, marking them as distinct from others by their association with Jesus. The term “Christian” signifies a life transformed, serving God, and waiting for His return. It is both an identity and a calling.
