Is There Room for Jesus In…

While there was no room for Jesus in the inn at His birth (Luke 2:7), we are challenged to consider whether there is room for Him in various aspects of our lives today. Jesus desires to be a part of every corner of our existence, and it’s up to us to make space for Him.

1. Your Life

  • Matthew 6:33 – “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
  • Do you make room for Jesus in your everyday decisions, your values, and your priorities? Is He at the center of your life?

2. Your Home

  • Revelation 3:20 – “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.”
  • Is your home a place where Jesus is welcomed? Do you seek His presence in your relationships and the atmosphere you create within your home?

3. Your Business

  • Colossians 3:23 – “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.”
  • Is there room for Jesus in the way you conduct your business? Do you strive to honor Him in your work, your dealings, and your treatment of others in the workplace?

4. Your School

  • Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.”
  • Is there room for Jesus in your studies, relationships, and interactions at school? Do you represent Him well in your academic pursuits and social circles?

5. Your Friends

  • 1 Corinthians 15:33 – “Do not be deceived: ‘Bad company ruins good morals.’”
  • Are your friendships a place where Jesus is acknowledged? Do your friends know you follow Christ, and does your relationship with them reflect His love and values?

6. Your Community

  • Matthew 5:14-16 – “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.”
  • Is there room for Jesus in your community? Do you actively share His love, serve others, and be a beacon of light in your neighborhood?

7. Your World

  • Matthew 28:19-20 – “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.”
  • Is there room for Jesus in the world beyond your immediate circles? Are you actively participating in spreading His message and making disciples across the globe?

Conclusion:

Though there was no room for Jesus in the inn, we are each given the opportunity to make room for Him in every area of our lives. Whether in our personal life, our home, our work, school, friendships, community, or the world, we must evaluate whether Jesus has the space He deserves. His love, guidance, and presence transform every area of life, and the more room we make for Him, the more our lives reflect His glory.
