If God has spoken to you apart from His Word, then several implications arise that contradict the nature of God’s revealed truth in Scripture. Here are key points to consider:

1. GOD IS A RESPECTOR OF PERSONS
   • Acts 10:34-35
     If God speaks apart from His Word, it would suggest He shows partiality, treating some individuals differently than others. However, Scripture teaches that God is not a respecter of persons, meaning He treats all equally.
   • Romans 2:11
     God judges impartially, and His revelation is consistent for all people.
2. GOD IS CONTRARY TO HIS WORD
   • Hebrews 1:1-2
     God has spoken to us through His Word, and in these last days, He speaks through His Son. To claim that God speaks outside of His Word would imply contradiction with His established method of communication.
   • Hebrews 12:25
     We are urged not to reject the message of God as given in His Word.
   • 1 Corinthians 2:9-13
     The Spirit reveals God’s truth, and this revelation is now found in the Scriptures.
3. GOD’S WORD IS NOT THE FINAL AUTHORITY
   • John 12:48
     Jesus makes it clear that the words He has spoken will judge us, indicating that God’s Word is the ultimate authority.
   • Galatians 1:6-9
     Any gospel apart from the one revealed in Scripture is a distortion, showing that God’s Word is the final standard for truth.
   • 1 Timothy 1:3
     The teachings in God’s Word are to be adhered to, ensuring that no other message is seen as authoritative.
4. THE EXAMPLES OF CONVERSIONS ARE UNRELIABLE
   • Acts 2:36-42
     The conversions in Acts reflect the message preached and responded to, emphasizing the sufficiency of God’s Word for salvation.
   • Acts 8:35-39
     Philip’s teaching from Scripture about Jesus was the means by which the Ethiopian eunuch was converted.
5. CLAIMS OF SCRIPTURE ARE MISLEADING
   • 2 Timothy 3:16-17
     All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness. If God speaks apart from Scripture, this claim would be misleading.
   • Colossians 2:9-10
     In Christ, the fullness of God’s wisdom and knowledge is revealed, which is accessible to us in His Word.
   • Psalm 19:7
     God’s Word is perfect and trustworthy, providing guidance and life.
6. THERE IS NO TRUE STANDARD OF RIGHT AND WRONG
   • Acts 20:26-27
     Paul declares that he is innocent of the blood of all men because he preached the full counsel of God. The truth of Scripture is the standard of right and wrong.
   • 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12
     Rejecting the truth of God’s Word leads to deception and a lack of discernment.

Conclusion:

God has spoken clearly through His Word. Any claim of hearing from God apart from the Bible contradicts the sufficiency and authority of Scripture. Therefore, we are called to obey what God has already revealed in His Word.
