GIVING MUST COME FROM THE HEART

  • Proverbs 22:9
Giving should not be out of obligation or compulsion but should come from a willing and generous heart, driven by a love for God and His work.
  • Acts 20:35
“It is more blessed to give than to receive,” highlights the joy and blessings that come from giving freely and cheerfully.
  1. GIVING IS A MATTER OF CHOICE, NOT LAW
    • Matthew 25:29
Giving is not about following a set rule or law, but about the willingness of the heart to choose to bless others, recognizing that God entrusts us with resources to use for His purposes.
  2. GIVING PUTS YOU CLOSER TO THE LORD’S WORK THROUGH THE CHURCH
    • 1 Corinthians 16:1
When we give, we actively participate in supporting the Lord’s work on earth through the church. Our contributions help further the gospel and assist in the mission of the church.
  3. GIVING SHOULD BE DONE REGULARLY EVERY SUNDAY
    • 1 Corinthians 16:1-2
Giving is not just a one-time event, but something that should be a regular part of our lives. The early church gave systematically, on the first day of the week, and we are encouraged to do the same.
  4. GIVING IS AN EXPRESSION OF OUR LOVE FOR GOD
    • Proverbs 3:9-10
Honoring God with our wealth is an act of worship and a reflection of our gratitude for His blessings. It demonstrates our trust in Him and our love for His work.
  5. FAITHFUL GIVING IS A PART OF FAITHFUL LIVING!
Faithful living involves every aspect of our lives, including how we manage and use our resources. Giving regularly and generously is a key part of living faithfully for God.
