His Example of Lowly Love
- John 13:15 – “For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.”
- Jesus humbly washed His disciples’ feet, demonstrating His love and servant heart. He left His disciples the legacy of loving others through acts of service and humility.
- His Promise of a Home
- John 14:2-3 – “In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”
- Jesus promised His disciples a permanent home in heaven, preparing a place for them in His Father’s house. This assures believers of their eternal security and fellowship with Christ.

- His Spirit as Their Comforter
- John 14:16-18 – “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.”
- Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit to comfort, guide, and empower His disciples after His departure. The Holy Spirit would be a constant presence, dwelling within them.
- John 14:16-18 – “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever; even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. - Jesus’ gift of peace reassures His disciples, offering them tranquility amidst trials. His peace guards their hearts and minds, enabling them to overcome fear and anxiety.

- His Joy to Remain with Them
- John 15:11 – “These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.”
- Jesus’ desire for His disciples is that His joy would remain in them. His joy serves as a source of strength, filling believers with contentment and hope, regardless of circumstances.
