1. Both Are Divinely Inspired

  • Genesis 2:18 – “The Lord God said, ‘It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.’”
    • God created the home as an institution for mankind’s well-being.
  • Matthew 16:18 – “And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.”
    • The Church was divinely established by Jesus Christ.

2. Both Have the Same Standard

  • 2 Peter 1:3 – “His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness.”
    • Both the home and the church are governed by the same biblical principles, founded on God’s word.

3. Both Are Divinely Established

  • Matthew 16:18 – “And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.”
    • The Church was established by Christ to be His body on earth.

4. Both Are to Be Pure

  • Romans 12:1-3 – “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.”
    • The home and the church are called to live in holiness and purity before God.
  • 2 Corinthians 11:1-3 – “I hope you will put up with me in a little foolishness. Yes, please put up with me! I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to Him.”
    • The church, like the home, must be kept pure and faithful to God.

5. Both Need to Be True to God

    • The home is necessary for human companionship and support.
  • Acts 2:47 – “Praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”
    • The church is vital for spiritual growth and community in the faith.
  • 1 Corinthians 15:24 – “Then the end will come, when He hands over the kingdom to God the Father after He has destroyed all dominion, authority, and power.”
    • Both the home and the church are essential to God’s plan for humanity, serving distinct roles in His kingdom.
