Matthew 28:19-20
John 6:44-45

After being taught the Word, the next step is to live out what we have learned by obeying, accepting the consequences, applying the Word, and defending the teachings. Here’s how we are to respond:

Obey the Word
Obedience to God’s Word is essential for growth and alignment with His will.

  • Matthew 13:15
  • Matthew 7:24-27
  • James 1:22-25
  • Acts 2:41
  • Acts 18:8

Accept the Consequences
Obeying the Word may bring challenges, and we must be willing to accept the consequences of following Christ.

  • Galatians 1:19
  • Matthew 10:34-37
  • John 16:1-2

Apply the Word
The teachings must not just be heard, but applied in our daily lives.

  • Acts 17:11
  • Hebrews 5:14
  • Matthew 23:23-29
  • Acts 7:51-53

Defend the Teaching
We must stand firm in the teachings and defend them when necessary.

  • Philippians 1:17
  • Jude 3
  • Galatians 2:5

The Taught Are To:

Defy Weariness
Even when the journey is tough, we are encouraged to press on.

  • Galatians 6:9
  • 2 Thessalonians 3:13

Continue in Some Things
We must remain steadfast in the faith, continuing in what we’ve been taught.

  • 2 Timothy 3:14-17
  • Galatians 1:6-9
  • Galatians 5:7
  • 2 Timothy 2:2
  • 2 Corinthians 11:3

Teach the Same to Others
As we have been taught, we are to pass on the knowledge to others.

  • 1 Timothy 4:11-12, 16

Having Been Taught, Obey!
Having Obeyed, Be Faithful!
Our journey does not end with learning; it continues with living faithfully and teaching others what we have received.
