God desires a church that reflects His holiness, love, and mission. Below are the qualities of the church God wants, based on biblical principles:
1. A Saved Church
A church that is composed of individuals who have experienced the saving grace of God through Jesus Christ. They are born again and have received salvation by faith.
- Acts 2:47 – “And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.”
2. A Faithful Church
A church that remains steadfast in faith, committed to the teachings of Christ, and is unwavering in following His Word.
3. A Surrendered Church
A church that submits fully to God’s will, recognizing His sovereignty and choosing to follow His direction in all things.
4. A United Church
A church that is unified in purpose, doctrine, and love, reflecting the unity of the body of Christ.
- Ephesians 4:3 – “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.”
5. A Separated Church
A church that is set apart from the world, living in holiness and rejecting the sinful practices of society. It remains distinct in its values and lifestyle.
- Romans 12:2 – “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
6. A Waiting Church
A church that eagerly anticipates Christ’s return, living with a sense of urgency and expectation.
- Titus 2:13 – “Looking for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ.”
7. A Sacrificing Church
A church that is willing to sacrifice time, resources, and efforts for the advancement of God’s kingdom and to serve others.
- Romans 12:1 – “Present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.”
8. A Clean Church
A church that lives in purity, striving to live holy lives that reflect the character of Christ.
- 1 Peter 1:16 – “Be holy, for I am holy.”
9. A Studious Church
A church that is dedicated to studying the Word of God, growing in knowledge, and being equipped for every good work.
- 2 Timothy 2:15 – “Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman that does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
10. A Working Church
A church that is actively engaged in doing the work of God, spreading the Gospel, serving the community, and making disciples.
- Matthew 28:19-20 – “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…”
11. A Converted Church
A church that has been transformed by the power of the Gospel and continues to live in the light of that transformation.
- Romans 12:2 – “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
12. A Loving Church
A church that demonstrates Christ-like love, both to God and to others. It is marked by kindness, compassion, and selflessness.
- John 13:35 – “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
The Lord Wants You to Be Added to His Church!
- Acts 2:47 – “And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.”
God desires each individual to be part of His church, a community that reflects His glory, carries out His mission, and lives in alignment with His Word. If you have not yet joined His church, He is calling you to be added to His family.
