1 Corinthians 15:57-58
“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
GREAT ARE THE VICTORIES TO BE HAD IN CHRIST!
VICTORY OVER TEMPTATION
- Hebrews 4:15 – “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.”
Through Jesus, we have the strength to overcome any temptation, as He Himself faced and triumphed over temptation.
VICTORY OVER SIN
- Romans 5:1 – “Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
In Christ, we are declared righteous, and sin no longer holds power over us. His sacrifice breaks the chains of sin.
VICTORY OVER THE WORLD
- 1 John 5:4 – “For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.”
Through faith in Jesus, we are empowered to overcome the distractions and temptations of the world.
VICTORY OVER SUFFERING
- 1 Peter 4:16 – “Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name.”
Even in suffering, we share in the victory of Christ. Our trials are temporary, and they serve a purpose in our sanctification.
VICTORY OVER DEATH
- 1 Corinthians 15:57 – “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Through Christ’s resurrection, we have victory over death and the promise of eternal life with God.
CHRIST OFFERS COMPLETE VICTORY OVER SELF AND SIN!
In Jesus, we find not just temporary relief, but complete victory over our sinful nature and the trials of life. His victory is our victory!
