Faith & Reason Nexus

1. Gods
   • Exodus 20:3 – “You shall have no other gods before Me.”
   • 2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 – Warns of the “man of sin” who exalts himself as God.
   • Acts 17:23 – Paul addresses the Athenians’ altar to an “unknown god.”
   • 1 Corinthians 8:4-6 – There is no god but the one true God.
2. Christs
   • Matthew 24:24 – False Christs and false prophets will arise to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
   • John 5:42 – Jesus condemns the people for not receiving Him, even though they claim to believe in God.
   • Ephesians 4:5 – One Lord, one faith, one baptism.
   • 1 Timothy 4:1-3 – In the last days, some will depart from the faith, following deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons.
   • 1 John 4:1 – “Do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God.”
   • 1 John 4:6 – We are from God; whoever knows God listens to us, but those who are not from God do not listen.
3. Spirits
   • 2 Corinthians 11:13-15 – Satan disguises himself as an angel of light, and his servants disguise themselves as ministers of righteousness.
   • Acts 1:22 – The apostles were chosen to be witnesses of Jesus’ resurrection.
   • Revelation 2:2 – Jesus commended the church in Ephesus for testing those who claimed to be apostles but were not.
   • 2 Corinthians 12:12 – Paul speaks of signs of an apostle, including miracles, which prove the authenticity of their ministry.
4. Apostles
   • Matthew 7:15-20 – False prophets will be known by their fruits.
   • 1 Peter 4:11 – If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God; if anyone ministers, let him do so as with the ability which God supplies.
   • 2 Peter 2:1 – False prophets will arise, secretly bringing in destructive heresies.
   • Deuteronomy 18:22 – A prophet is true if what he speaks comes to pass; if not, he is false.
5. Doctrines
   • Hebrews 13:9 – Do not be carried away by diverse and strange teachings.
   • 1 Timothy 1:3 – Teach no other doctrine than that which has been delivered.
   • 2 John 9-11 – Whoever does not abide in the teaching of Christ does not have God.
   • Galatians 1:6-9 – Paul warns against preaching a different gospel, which is no gospel at all.
6. Brethren
   • 2 Corinthians 11:26 – Paul speaks of dangers and false brethren who infiltrate the church.
   • Galatians 2:3-5 – Even Titus was not compelled to be circumcised, showing how the true gospel is to be maintained against false brethren.
   • 1 Peter 1:22 – Christians are to love one another fervently with a pure heart.

Biblical Warning:
“Buy the truth, and sell it not.” – Proverbs 23:23.
This is a call to hold firmly to the truth of God’s word, avoiding the false teachings and counterfeits that seek to lead believers astray.
