Faith & Reason Nexus

As Christians, our lives are meant to reflect the values of Christ in every action, word, and thought. The following principles guide how we should live in accordance with God’s will:

1. Keep Unspotted from the World

James 1:27
A Christian is called to live a life of purity, free from the corruption of worldly desires and sin. We must avoid being influenced by the world’s temptations and instead live according to God’s holiness.

2. Set a Good Example

Matthew 5:16
Our actions should reflect Christ, and by living a righteous life, we shine as lights in the world. A good example leads others to glorify God and draws them closer to Him.

3. Bear the Burdens of Others

Galatians 6:1-2
A Christian should support and uplift those who are struggling. By sharing in others’ burdens, we fulfill the law of Christ, showing compassion and care for those around us.

4. Seek God First

Matthew 6:33
Above all, a Christian’s priority should be God’s kingdom and righteousness. When we put God first, He promises to provide for our needs and guide us in every aspect of life.

5. Teach Others

Mark 16:15
We are commanded to share the gospel with the world. As Christians, we must evangelize and teach others about the love and salvation found in Jesus Christ.

6. Do Good to All People

Galatians 6:10
A Christian should always strive to do good to others, especially fellow believers. We are called to love our neighbors and extend kindness, generosity, and mercy to everyone.

7. Attend Services Faithfully

Hebrews 10:25
Regular fellowship with other believers is essential for spiritual growth. Christians should prioritize attending worship services and other gatherings to encourage one another and grow in faith.

8. Glorify God in His Body

1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are called to honor God by taking care of them. This includes living a life of holiness, refraining from sin, and using our bodies for God’s purposes.

9. Walk Worthy of God

Colossians 1:10-14
Our daily lives should be a reflection of God’s calling. We are to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God.

10. Obey Government

Romans 13:1-4
Christians are called to respect and obey governmental authorities, as they are instituted by God. We should honor the laws of the land unless they directly contradict God’s commands.

11. Bring Forth Fruit to God

John 15:7-8
A Christian should bear fruit through their relationship with Christ. This fruit represents good works, love, and the sharing of the gospel. By abiding in Christ, we can bear much fruit that brings glory to God.

12. Live for Jesus Everyday!

In all we do, we should live in such a way that reflects our commitment to Christ. Our daily actions, words, and decisions should point others to Jesus and honor Him in all things.

These principles are the foundation for a faithful and fruitful Christian life. By following them, we live out our calling to be the salt and light of the world.
