Faith & Reason Nexus

1. All Men Will Be Saved
   • Matthew 7:13-14: Jesus teaches that the way to salvation is narrow and difficult, and few find it, implying that not all will be saved.
   • 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9: Those who do not know God or obey the gospel will face eternal punishment.
2. Baptism Is Not Essential for Salvation
   • Mark 16:16: Jesus clearly states that belief and baptism are necessary for salvation.
   • 1 Peter 3:21: Baptism is described as saving us, not as a mere ritual, but as an appeal to God for a good conscience.
3. Worship May Be Designed by Man
   • John 4:23-24: Jesus emphasizes that true worship must be in spirit and truth, aligning with God’s will, not man-made traditions.
   • Matthew 15:9: Jesus condemns worship that is based on human teachings rather than God’s commandments.
   • Acts 2:42: The early church was devoted to the apostles’ teachings, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer—God’s ordained practices, not man’s.
4. The Deceived Are Excused
   • Matthew 15:14: Jesus warns that the blind will lead the blind, and both will fall into a pit.
   • Galatians 6:7-9: People will reap what they sow, and deception will not go unpunished.
   • 1 John 4:1: Believers are urged to test the spirits, implying responsibility to discern truth and avoid deception.
5. Once Saved, Always Saved
   • Hebrews 6:4-6: It is impossible to renew those who have fallen away after having once known the truth, indicating the possibility of falling from grace.
   • Galatians 5:4: Those who try to be justified by the law have fallen from grace.
   • 2 Peter 2:21-22: It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness than, after knowing it, to turn away.
6. Faith Alone Will Save
   • John 12:43-44: Belief is essential, but it must be a belief that leads to action and obedience.
   • James 2:21-24: Faith without works is dead, showing that genuine faith requires more than belief—it requires action.
7. Any Church Will Do
   • Matthew 16:18: Jesus established one church, which He promised would not be overcome.
   • Acts 2:47: The early Christians were added to the church, not to various churches of their choosing.
   • Ephesians 4:23-24: Christians are to put on the new self, created to be like God, united in the one true faith.
   • Ephesians 4:4: There is one body, one faith, one baptism, emphasizing unity in the true church.
8. There Will Be No Hell
   • Matthew 25:41-47: Jesus describes the final judgment, where the wicked are cast into eternal fire.
   • Mark 9:43-48: Jesus warns about the unquenchable fire and the eternal consequences for the wicked.

Haven’t They Changed the Bible?
When people teach things contrary to what Scripture explicitly states, they have indeed changed the Bible’s message. The truth of God’s Word remains unchanged, and it is crucial to adhere to it rather than human teachings or inventions.
