Acts 10:38
Some Good Done by Christ:
- He Went About His Father’s Business
“And he said to them, ‘Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?’” – Luke 2:49
From a young age, Jesus was focused on fulfilling the will of His Father, dedicating His life to the divine purpose. - He Healed the Sick
“And when they had crossed over, they came to the land of Gennesaret. And when the men of that place recognized Him, they sent out into all that surrounding region, brought to Him all who were sick, and begged Him that they might only touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched it were made perfectly well.” – John 6:46-54
Jesus showed compassion by healing the sick, demonstrating His power and love for humanity. - He Returned Good for Evil
“But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.” – Matthew 5:44
Jesus taught and exemplified how to love others unconditionally, even those who persecuted Him, returning good for evil. - He Was a Friend to the Friendless
“When the Pharisees saw it, they said to His disciples, ‘Why does your Teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?’ But when Jesus heard that, He said to them, ‘Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. But go and learn what this means: “I desire mercy and not sacrifice.” For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.’” – Matthew 9:11-12
Jesus reached out to the marginalized, showing kindness and compassion to those who were rejected by society. - He Was an Obedient Citizen
“When they had come to Capernaum, those who received the temple tax came to Peter and said, ‘Does your Teacher not pay the temple tax?’ He said, ‘Yes.’ And when he had come into the house, Jesus anticipated him, saying, ‘What do you think, Simon? From whom do the kings of the earth take customs or taxes, from their sons or from strangers?’ Peter said to Him, ‘From strangers.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Then the sons are free.’” – Matthew 17:24-27
Jesus demonstrated obedience to civil duties, even while reminding us that His true kingdom is not of this world. - He Left an Example for Men to Follow
“For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps.” – 1 Peter 2:21
Jesus provided the ultimate example of how to live with humility, compassion, love, and obedience to God’s will.
Summary:
Jesus’ life was characterized by His commitment to doing good—following His Father’s will, healing the sick, returning good for evil, and offering friendship to the friendless. He was a model of obedience, not only to God but also to societal duties, and He left us an example to follow in our own lives.
