Acts 4:12
- “There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
Christ is indispensable because He is central to salvation and our relationship with God. Here are some key roles Christ plays:
1. An Example
- 1 Peter 2:21 – Christ is our example in how to live righteously, suffer for good, and follow God’s will.
2. The Way to Heaven
- John 14:6 – Christ is the only way to the Father. He said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life,” emphasizing that no one can come to the Father except through Him.
3. The Mediator
- 1 Timothy 2:5 – Christ serves as the mediator between God and humanity. He reconciles us to God, standing in the gap for us.
4. The Head of the Church
- Colossians 1:18 – Christ is the head of the church, guiding and leading His people. The church is His body, and He is the authority over it.
5. The Returning King & Judge
- Acts 17:30-31 – Christ will return to judge the world in righteousness. His judgment will be fair and final.
The Question: What is Christ to You?
Christ’s role in our lives is foundational to our faith and salvation. He is not just an example or a distant figure but the essential mediator, the way to eternal life, the head of the church, and the returning King who will judge all. How we relate to Christ determines our future in eternity.
