Acts 1:9-11

When Jesus Ascended:

1. Savior Returned Home
   • Jesus ascended to heaven, returning to His rightful place with the Father. He completed His mission on earth, and now He returns to the glory He shared with God before His incarnation.
2. The Apostles Saw Him Leave
   • The apostles were eyewitnesses to this miraculous event. As they watched, Jesus was taken up from them into the sky, marking the end of His earthly ministry and the beginning of His heavenly reign.
3. Angels Promised His Return
   • Two angels in white apparel appeared to the apostles, reassuring them that just as Jesus ascended, He would return in the same manner—visibly and gloriously. His return is a promise of future hope for believers.

• The Earth Gave Him Up
  • The earth released its hold on Jesus, and He ascended into heaven, signifying the completion of His earthly ministry.
• Heaven Received Him Up
  • Heaven welcomed Jesus back, as He is seated at the right hand of God in a position of power and authority.
• God Seated Him at His Right Hand
  • Jesus, now glorified, is seated at the right hand of God, symbolizing His sovereignty and authority over all creation.
• All Mankind Benefited
  • Jesus’ ascension benefits humanity by confirming His victory over death, sin, and Satan, and securing a place for believers in heaven.

This passage from Acts serves as both a conclusion to Jesus’ earthly ministry and a reminder of the hope of His return. His ascension marks the beginning of the Church’s mission, empowered by the Holy Spirit, to spread the message of salvation.
