Reasons Why Some Lose Heart…
1. Lack of Faith
- Hebrews 11:6 – Without faith, it is impossible to please God.

- Matthew 14:28-30 – Peter’s doubt caused him to sink despite walking on water.
2. Lack of Visible Results
- 1 Kings 19:4, 10, 14, 18 – Elijah felt alone and ineffective, but God reminded him of the faithful remnant.
- Acts 18:6-8 – Paul faced rejection, yet continued his ministry, leading to conversions.
- 1 Corinthians 3:6 – God gives the increase, not human effort alone.
3. Constant Temptations
- 1 Corinthians 10:13 – No temptation is beyond what we can bear; God provides a way of escape.
- James 1:13-15 – Temptation leads to sin when unchecked.
- Hebrews 2:18 – Christ helps us in our struggles.
- Hebrews 4:14-16 – Approach the throne of grace for help in time of need.
4. Consideration of Cost
- Mark 10:28-30 – Sacrifices for Christ will be rewarded in this life and the next.
