- Desire
- “As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby.”
- 1 Peter 2:2
- Spiritual growth begins with a sincere desire for God’s Word. Just as infants desire milk for nourishment, we should earnestly desire spiritual nourishment to grow in our faith.
- Study
- “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
- 2 Timothy 2:15
- Spiritual growth requires dedicated study of the Scriptures. By studying the Word, we gain wisdom and understanding, which helps us to live according to God’s will.
- Effort
- “Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.”
- Revelation 2:10
- Spiritual growth demands effort, even in the face of challenges. We must remain faithful and put in the effort to persevere, despite trials, knowing that our reward is eternal life with Christ.
