- John 14:26
- “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”
- Note: The apostles were not left to their own opinions or desires; the Holy Spirit would help them remember Jesus’ teachings accurately.
- Guide into All Truth
- John 16:13
- “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth.”
- Note: The apostles would not be preaching their own opinions, but be led by the Holy Spirit into all truth.
- Reprove (Convince) the World of Sin
- John 16:8
- “And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment.”
- Note: The apostles were guided by the Holy Spirit to reveal God’s will, and the Holy Spirit would convict the world of sin as a violation of God’s will.
