What It Means to Be a Christian

  • As Sheep: We should follow Christ as our Shepherd (John 10).
  • As Citizens: We should obey Christ as the King (Colossians 1:13; Ephesians 2:19).
  • As Branches: We should bear fruit for Christ the Vine (John 15:1-6).
  • As Members of the Body: We should function properly for Christ as the Head (Colossians 1:18; 1 Corinthians 12:14-27).
  • As Lights in the World: We should shine forth for Christ as the True Light (John 8:12; Philippians 2:15).
  • As Soldiers: We should fight and endure hardness as good soldiers because Christ is our Captain in His army (Hebrews 2:10; 2 Timothy 2:3; Ephesians 6:14-17).
