The Scriptures are to Serve as a Standard of Judgment

• “The word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day.” (John 12:48)
• “God commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world.” (Acts 17:30-31)
• “God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ.” (Romans 2:16)

All Scripture is Authoritative

• “God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son.” (Hebrews 1:1-2)

The Scriptures are All-Sufficient

The Scriptures Have a Purpose to Present Christ

• “The word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword.” (Hebrews 4:12)
