The Scriptures are to Serve as a Standard of Judgment
- “The word that I have spoken will judge him on the last day.” (John 12:48)

- “God will judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ.” (Romans 2:16)
All Scripture is Authoritative

The Scriptures are All-Sufficient

- “The Holy Scriptures… are able to make you wise for salvation.” (2 Timothy 3:15)
The Scriptures are Clear
- “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” (Psalm 119:105)
- “When you read this, you can understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ.” (Ephesians 3:1-4)
The Scriptures Have a Purpose to Present Christ
- “Beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.” (Luke 24:27-44)
The Scriptures are Powerful
- “The word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword.” (Hebrews 4:12)
- “The gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.” (Romans 1:16)
