“He was despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows…
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities…”
Isaiah 53:3-5
This passage highlights the immense suffering Christ endured at the hands of men, both physically and emotionally, leading up to His crucifixion. Despite being treated with disdain and cruelty, He bore these injustices for the salvation of humanity. His suffering was not in vain—it was for our transgressions and sins, securing our reconciliation with God.
