Birth Announcement!

The birth of Jesus marks the arrival of the Savior who came to fulfill God’s plan of salvation for humanity. Born in a humble manger in the city of David, Jesus’ birth was not just the beginning of His life on earth, but the beginning of the fulfillment of God’s promise to bring redemption to a fallen world.

Why Was He Born?

He was born to die. Jesus came to live a perfect life, to take on our sins, and to sacrifice Himself on the cross so that we could be forgiven. Through His death, we are offered eternal life. Jesus’ birth is a reminder that the Savior, who would one day die for our sins, entered the world in the most humble of ways.

The Announcement of His Birth

As recorded in Luke 2:11, the angel proclaimed to the shepherds:
“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”
This was the moment the world had been waiting for: the birth of the one who would save us from our sins and bring us into eternal fellowship with God.

The Purpose of His Birth

Jesus was born not just to experience life on earth but to die for our sins so that we might live forever with Him. His life, death, and resurrection bring the promise of eternal life to all who believe in Him. Jesus is the Savior who took our place, and His birth is the announcement of a great hope for all mankind.

The Birth of Christ is the beginning of the greatest story ever told—the story of God’s love, sacrifice, and the gift of eternal life.
