Acts 9:2
To truly be “of this way,” one must be willing to take several transformative steps.
Step Out of Unconcern
- Mark 8:36-37 — Recognize the value of the soul over worldly gain.
- Acts 2:37 — Be deeply moved to change upon hearing the message.
- Acts 17:11 — Examine the Scriptures with a readiness to understand.
- Matthew 5:6 — Hunger and thirst for righteousness.
- Matthew 7:7-8 — Seek and pursue truth persistently.
Step Into Christ
- John 6:44-45 — Come to Christ, drawn by God’s teachings.
- 2 Thessalonians 2:14 — Respond to the call through the Gospel.
- Matthew 28:19 — Be baptized and follow Jesus.
- Ephesians 5:17 — Understand the will of the Lord.
Step Out of Ignorance
- Open your heart and mind to spiritual understanding and knowledge of God’s word.
Step Out of Sin
- Mark 8:36-37 — Consider the cost of sin and turn away.
- Acts 2:37 — Be convicted to repent.
- Acts 17:11 — Seek truth and reject sinful ways.
- Matthew 5:6 — Desire a righteous life.
- Matthew 7:7-8 — Actively seek forgiveness and transformation.
Live with Faithfulness
- Revelation 2:10 — Remain faithful, even unto death.
- 1 Corinthians 15:58 — Be steadfast, knowing that your work in the Lord is not in vain.
Step Out of Self
- John 6:44-45 — Yield to God’s calling.
- 2 Thessalonians 2:14 — Embrace your purpose in Christ.
- Matthew 28:19 — Commit to discipleship.
- Ephesians 5:17 — Seek God’s will above your own.
- Matthew 16:24 — Deny yourself and take up your cross.
- Jeremiah 10:23 — Recognize that we need God’s guidance.
- 2 Corinthians 8:5 — Give yourself first to the Lord.
- Philippians 2:3, 5 — Act in humility, considering others.
- Romans 12:3 — Have a sober view of yourself in light of God’s mercy.
