Attitudes Toward Brethren

There Must Be the Attitude of:

  • Love
  • Romans 13:8: Owe no man anything, but to love one another.
  • 1 Peter 2:17: Honor all men. Love the brotherhood.
  • Cooperation
  • 1 Corinthians 12:21: The eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee.
  • Appreciation
  • 1 Corinthians 1:4: I thank my God always on your behalf for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ.
  • Submissiveness to Leadership
  • Hebrews 13:17: Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves.
  • Peaceableness
  • Romans 14:19: Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace.
  • Ephesians 4:3: Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
  • Friendliness
  • Acts 2:44-47: They had all things in common and broke bread with gladness and singleness of heart.
  • Forgiving & Longsuffering
  • Ephesians 4:32: Be kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another.
  • Hospitality
  • Hebrews 13:2: Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
  • Meekness
  • Ephesians 4:2: With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering.
  • 3 John 5-8: Support and show kindness to fellow workers in the truth.
  • 2 Timothy 2:24-26: The servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men.
